Sturdy. Strong.<br \/>\nWe are unmoved.<\/p>\n<p>Second stance &#8211; gong bu<br \/>\nLead foot bent, pointed straight<br \/>\nTrailing foot angled, heel lined up<br \/>\nPliant. Flexible. Resilient.<br \/>\nWe are unbroken.<\/p>\n<p>Third stance &#8211; fu hu bu<br \/>\nWe tame the tiger by dropping low<br \/>\nPower contained in a tight form<br \/>\nBated. Quiet. Focused.<br \/>\nWe are undefeated.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth stance &#8211; zuo pan bu<br \/>\nFrom the low crouch we twist<br \/>\nWe prepare for the next strike<br \/>\nPrepared. Alert. Alive.<br \/>\nWe are unafraid.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth stance &#8211; xuan ji bu<br \/>\nAt times we need to deceive<br \/>\nMake them think we are still<br \/>\nCunning. Tricky.
