Be Your Own Star
I was on the tower that night, a few hundred feet high from the ground. There were no stars out on the sky, but I didn’t mind. Tokyo’s lights more than made up for it. Sometimes you find beauty where beauty is found. Don’t look elsewhere, don’t look elsewhere. Sometimes we musn’t look for what’s not there. We only need to see and love and be thankful for what’s given you at that moment in time.
No stars shone on Tokyo that night, so Tokyo made sure to shine on her own.
That’s real beauty. That’s real strength — When you stop asking for stars to shine on you because you’ve decided to become your own star.
